One of the hurdles we had to overcome was an ugly drop ceiling. Unless it is brand new, drop ceiling tiles are never all the same color. We wanted a much more upscale look to the studio so, regular ceiling tiles would never do!
We talked about painting them, which would require working outside in 26 degree weather - not this girl. So we decided we needed to cover them in some way. We looked at all types of fabric, but it would have been cheaper just to buy all new tiles.
So we came up with a radical idea. We decided to cover them in wrapping paper! The only problem with that was that we needed at least 20 rolls to complete the job. No place in this area carries 20 rolls of the same kind of wrapping paper at the same time. Only about 5 rolls. Uggggg.
Then we hit upon the solution, we used wall paper! So here ya go, step by step on how to create a beautiful drop ceiling on a budget. Stop by the new studio to check it out first hand. It looks pretty terrific!
